What better day than Martin Luther King day to launch the first part of this movement? It began with a single YouTube video confessional, but then I started to hear more and more stories of others who suffer from chronic pain and are treated like second-class citizens who love to cry wolf.

After I purged in my video confessional based upon my nearly five years of depression, frustration, “why me,” resentment, denial, anger, confusion, self-doubt, weakness, with the instincts and reflexes of a wounded animal, I had a revelation. After all this time, I’m no closer to a diagnosis, and with the 50+ medical professionals I’ve seen, I’m no closer to being heard.

So I’m taking everything that tried to break me, and turning it into something that will help make someone else whole. And that’s how our Movement began. The Pain Chronicles will be a collection of our stories and voices. The Unbroken is our name, our identity, our affirmation that we are more than just survive, we live. 

This website will be only one outlet where I can mix your voices with mine and ultimately create a trailblazing, one-of-a-kind, never-been-done before movie.
